Lafayette Jeff’s winter teams were in full swing Friday and will continue action Saturday.

Boys Swimming:  The Bronchos are hosting an IHSAA Swimming and Diving Sectional with the prelims and diving finals over, and Saturday will feature the swimming finals in all events.  Gage Wells was the lone competitor in the diving finals and placed ninth with a score of 237.5.  Fourteen divers competed in the Sectional and the top four advanced.  Lafayette Jeff has a number of swimmers in the Sectional finals Saturday.  No spectators are permitted Saturday, but the Sectional Finals are live streamed on www.ihsaatv.org/lafayettejefferson.

Boys Basketball:  Lafayette Jeff improved to 18-2 overall and 6-1 in North Central Conference play with an 86-55 win at Richmond.  The Class 4A No. 8 Bronchos were led by the 31 points, 13 rebounds and four steals from Indiana All-Star and Mr. Basketball candidate Brooks Barnhizer.  Ashton Beaver scored 18 points, Jacob Collicott chipped in 11 and Jahsiah Kirk-Williams scored 10.  The Bronchos will play at Muncie Central Saturday.  The game will be live streamed at @MCHS_BBall

Wrestling:  Jacob Raub competed at the IHSAA Wrestling State Championships Friday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.  Raub suffered a loss to Joshua Howell of Terre Haute South Vigo in the preliminary round.

Gymnastics:  Lafayette Jeff is competing at the North Central Conference Championships Saturday at Logansport.  The event will be live streamed on Facebook Live via the Angelique Johns account.
