With a third-place showing at the IHSAA Noblesville Sectional, the Lafayette Jeff Gymnastics Team will advance to the Portage Regional Saturday.
The Bronchos tallied 101.750 points to place behind only Harrison (106.400) and Lapel (103.025), while finishing ahead of 11 other schools.
Lafayette Jeff started the Sectional on the bars and Kat Nagler led the Bronchos with a sixth place finish with an 8.50 score.
On the vault, Nagler led the team with a 9.225 mark to finish fourth. Katie Graves and Kimi Wilkinson finished 10th and 11th respectively, with scores of 8.825 and 8.75.
Nagler placed fifth on the beam with a 9.100, while Graves was eighth with an 8.800.
On the floor, Nagler was fifth with an 8.725, while Kaylin Wiese was ninth with an 8.575.
In the all-around, Nagler was fifth with a 35.550, while Katie Graves was seventh with a 33.675.
The Portage Regional Saturday is scheduled for 11 a.m. (CT) and includes the top three teams from the Chesterton and Noblesville Sectionals plus other competitors that placed in the top six in events.
